  • 4 ½ – 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ cup mashed banana
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (filling)
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 large bananas (sliced)
  • Cream cheese frosting ingredients (cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and mix with butter and sugar until melted.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt; add to the milk mixture gradually.
  3. Fold in mashed bananas and knead until smooth.
  4. Let dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size (about an hour).
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and sliced bananas on top.
  6. Roll tightly into a cylinder; cut into pieces and place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Pour slightly warmed heavy cream over the rolls and bake for approximately 35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Prepare cream cheese frosting by mixing softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
  10. Drizzle frosting over warm rolls before serving.
