  • 1 lb steak tips (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 10 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Fontina cheese

Instructions

  1. Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Sear steak until browned (5-7 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  2. In a pot, boil salted water and cook rigatoni until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds. Add heavy cream and simmer gently.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and extra Cajun seasoning if desired.
  5. Combine cooked rigatoni with sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency. Gently fold in seared steak tips.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese.
