Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, oil, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently; fold in cherries.
  5. For the topping, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly.
  6. Fill muffin cups two-thirds full with batter and sprinkle topping evenly.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
