  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted) for topping
  • ½ cup granulated sugar for topping
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 8½ x 4½-inch loaf pan.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine the wet and dry mixtures gently until just blended; avoid overmixing.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60–70 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes in the pan before removing.
