  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté garlic and ginger in the same skillet for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the sauce mixture and simmer for 1-2 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce; simmer for another minute.
  6. Stir in chopped pineapple and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Drizzle sesame oil and lime juice over the dish; toss gently to combine. Garnish with cilantro and green onions before serving.
