  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons culinary matcha powder (sifted)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ⅓ cups milk
  • 2 ⅓ cups mochiko flour
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons fine sea salt
  • 6 ounces white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in matcha powder and vanilla until fully combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together mochiko flour and sea salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients while alternating with milk until fully combined.
  5. Gently fold in white chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. For the ganache, combine heavy cream and matcha powder in a small saucepan over low heat until warm and smooth.
  8. Once brownies cool completely, drizzle with matcha ganache before cutting into squares.
